Hey, Becca! Those are great! they look just like the 12" Amish blocks we made in our guild's Lotto Block exchange a few years ago!! My daughter would like me to put them into a quilt for her!
I am trying to make mostly tiny blocks myself - the house we are building has little wall space - I wanted lots of windows, and it's open concept LR/DR/Kit. with four doors leading in/out of the kitchen.
Are these the blocks you were having "problems" with sashing size? Anyway, great job, and I hope we see lots more blocks. Hey, are you drafting the blocks yourself, or using books? I know Judy Hopkins three books (Around the Block series) has block sizes from 4-14" - that's partly what I want to use, but also the JB and Sentimental Stitches sites.

Are you using black thread to do your sewing? Can I give you a tip I learned when we did our big blocks? Use a dark grey - it's much easier to see if you need to frog (rip it, rip it)

Becca I love your blocks they are gorgeous and the black background makes each block just pop. Can't wait to see more.
Happy Quilting! Bama Deb ~ Sweet Home AL I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you.
