I love these! So fun, and perfect for novelty fabrics! Where do I find a pattern for these?
Thanks!

Felicia, There is no pattern. It is a 4 1/2" center, then let's say you have your 4 1/2" square laying in front of you, you will sew a 2 1/2"x 4 1/2" piece of fabric to the sides (left and right). Then A 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece to the top and bottom of the square. It's that easy! Come and get your other gardners to join in on May's Blocks. Pat will soon have a sign up for these! They are addicting!!

HAPPY ST. PATTY’S DAY!

Ohhhhh.... TY you OKNANA! I like a random approach! I don't fully understand WHAT this all means (the sign up part?). Do we trade them like baseball cards?..lol

This is all new to me, but I'm willing to learn. Errr.......a....ummmm.....most of my gardening friends are the "glue gun" type...lol Do we have a glue gun block?...*giggling* I'll have to make one...and show it to them! No joke here...one of our gardeners (PR)...got a sewing bug and actually produced darling clothing for her kids with one of those Walmart $19.99 mini-sewing machines! She has us rotf with her beaaaaaaaautiful creations! I believe she's purchased a full sized machine since then. Where there's a will....there's a way! She just started to work nights, but maybe I can get her to come out and play. Right now she's in the "adjustment" phase of her new job.

I love your "Happy Moments" phrase. Nice!

Hmmmmmmmm......I may have been doing my own version of this in car seat blankets for my new grandson. I have made him a blanket a month since he was born in October. Each with a monthly theme. I don't know if I can post photos of them in here (since it's the happy block thread)? Anyhow... they aren't really quilts. They are just novelty fabric on one side, and flannel on the other. I call them "stess busters", but these little blocks are even BETTER stress busters!

I printed off the directions, and they are already hanging on my sewing room wall. I'll pass them to the "green thumbers" and see if I can get anyone going on a few. hehe

poof*

Felicia, These blocks would be good for a blanket for your GS! What a neat idea! So easy to do with some flannel on the back! You go girl!!
