Very pretty blocks already!

Whoo Hooo! I got my April block posted and it took me all afternoon to get this right. I had to redo 2 B templates because I forgot to change my fabric.....you know follow the clues on the template! lol

Now for the March block!

I keep looking at these beautiful blocks and thinking I really should make some of these.

So, if I have this right, we just make one or both of the blocks that are chosen each month and add our photos to the albums?

It is not a swap, where we send out the blocks, right?

We can sign-up for a turn to select the blocks for a month?

Hmmm .... if I started by making one of the January blocks ... since January was the month I signed onto BC ... and made one for each month, I would catch up pretty quickly and someday I would have enough blocks for a Block Central BPS Quilt.

I've finished and added my April block - Left and Right. Woo Hoo!

Betty - I put the dark fabric where the pattern said to and the light where it said and mine (like yours) came out reverse light/dark from the one on Quilter's Cache. I think I figured out - if you put the fabric on the back side of the pattern (like most PPing says to do so you can see the lines to stitch on) then it turns out reverse light.dark from the QC pattern. Hmmm!

So, Pat - you going to join us? It's fun, and YES, you get to pick a pallette and KEEP all the blocks you make. LOL!

Linda, I don't know if I follow you. I always put my fabrics on the wrong side of the printed pattern. I reversed the dark/light to what was on the pattern. So mine came out exactly opposite the original pattern in that my light was the patterns dark; and my dark was the patterns light.

Well Pat, you've got the rules now alright are you ready to sign-up! I'll put you down.

You can make the main block or the Alternate or both, you post only one block in the Album. If you make the main that is the one that should be posted!

You'll have enough for a beautiful quilt before you know it. Also there are blocks that I would never choose to make and so it challenges us to "step-out-of-the-box" so to speak. I've learned methods that I'd not tried before so join us, we'd love to have you!

Also, I do want to make this announcement.

I've been working on the Rules Page and the Sign-up Page.

Deb O supplied us with a list of the blocks made in the 1st BPS and I've listed those on the Sign-ups Page. You can't post there so it will stay as a Featured page.

Also, Linda O has provided us with a list of the blocks chosen and made in BPS-II to date.

We will keep that list up to date so it won't be so hard to know who chose what and when.

I am also thinking that maybe we'll go back to the main BPS name. We began BPS-II in April of 2007 so I'm thinking that we need to begin a new year with this April's Block. Or should we go by calendar year, beginning with Jan 08 and running through Dec 08?

Please tell me what you think about these things.
