Happy New Year!!

Here are my choices for the January blocks. I hope you like them! Mine are done in kids fabrics with an off-white background. I had so many little scraps sitting around from blocks throughout the year, that I thought a strip block would be perfect to use up some of those little scraps.

Roman Stripe Block

Very lovely choices.. I will knock them out today and see what we get.... Hungry now and biscuits sound very good right now.... We got about 6-8 of new snow last night and Its still comingn down...

Wouldn't both of these be great with our Christmas strips? Just need to cut them in half!!! (or a little more). And choose a red white green blue black or or or for the center triangles/squares. Hmmm! The ideas!

Interesting blocks! I have made the Roman stripe before, when our guild did Amish colours (all solids) for the BOM.
yep, those would be good like that, Linda. I'll be sticking with my colour scheme, though. I'm making mostly 6" blocks.

Great job Char! I love the blocks. They are so colorful...this is my month to play catch up on a lot of things!

yep! got the b-e peas in the crockpot and will send billy to KFC for the slaw while i make the cornbread! LOL now my baba would be asking me "where's the hog jowl??" she firmly believed you had to cook that with the b-e peas! of course she always thought we should actually eat it too Eek . . . whether you have hog jowl or not, it's gonna be a good year!

Well Happy 2008 everyone. Just finished cleaning the kitchen after our traditional New Year's Day meal of Boiled Cabbage, Black-eyed Peas, Smoked Pork Chops and cornbread! Ymmmm
