Good Evening Ladies!
Surprise! Yes, it is really me! I hope you don't mind me dropping in on this thread?

I have been thinking about a bunch of fun days spent here on BC with a "mostly"( ) great group of people & thought I would come by & say hello tonight.

I see a bunch of new names & regrettably, an absence of some old friends. So goes life, I suppose.

The past year has been a difficult one with some major health issues for myself, but mostly the DH. Hopefully, we are both on the road to better days.

I am able to quilt a little now & have begun hand quilting(only kind I ever do!) my Jane Stickle Quilt. I see you have a thread going on that one.

Jane Stickle was a quilt that I learned many things on. It was through that one that I learned you can piece anything, but you must do it one block at a time & never worry about the next block until this one is done.

(Remember the old saying:
Q"How do you eat an elephant?
A: One bite at a time!")

That is what I had to do to Jane Stickle--one block at a time. For all of the mistakes on her, she is still one of my favorite things that I have ever done.

In between quilting, I have begun a new pattern & it happens to be the one that encouraged me to begin quilting wayyyy back there. I think it should be pieced since it has only been 14 years in the waiting.

Thanks, Char. Those were fun blocks, but I gotta confess, I already had the Michigan block done!!! I am making a quilt for my sister (a surprise) and using blocks with names that have meanings for both of us. So....of course I had to do the Michigan block since that is where we were both born!!!
