The Block for September will be Modified USA Ribbon Block but not for patriotic reasons. I am doing it in honor of all our members that are fighting cancer. Now I did this in Eq6 and I realize that some of you do not have Eq6 so I printed and scanned the design for you. I have 3 sections that I will email directly to you!
I will use our sign-up sheet but if you do not receive the files from me please let me know by posting right here!

The block was taken from the web site below and is named USA Ribbon Block! I used their block for my design even thought I modified it but I must give credit where credit is due!

My alternate block is The flaming Cross Block from The Meadering Stitch web site. It is Block 5 of their BOM. You can print the PDF file from the site below:

Now let me say if any of you have a problem print the patterns I am sending you, just let me know and I will print and mail them to you. I have made Paper-Piecing templates which is the easiest to me but also provided Piecing Templates if you want to use that method.

If you do not want to paper-piece try the piecing method!

Flaming Cross is quite a challege, I think. I may tackle it today.

Linda, I know I have thanked you for being my testor on the Ribbon Block but I just wanted to let you know I really, really appreciated your doing that! I want to make the Alternate block too! Isn't it gorgeous? I don't think it's that hard, jus take it one step at a time. I have trouble with The Happy Blocks measuring correctly so simple is not always easiest for me!

I'm glad you found that "too large" seam so you didn't have to change the pattern. LOL! Glad I could help. I'd be happy to be an "editor/tester" for ANY of the BPS II blocks.

I finished and posted the April Alternate block - WOO HOO! Finally, eh? It's only August, after all. I was determined to finish it. It was easy, don't know why I waited this long. Betty - would you work your voo doo and get it in the right order? Thanks!

Next I hope to make the Sept. Alt. LOL! I'm up for a challenge!

Been sewing for two days. Isnt life great when you have time to sew for two whole days.
Oh well off to paint the bedroom. It going to be a great three days off.....tee heee

betty, did you send the file to my work email? the cableone.net? if you did that's ok, i just haven't seen it show up in my email here at home (the bellsouth.net one) and just wanted to let you know. i know you've used my home email for the pretty kitty swap but other communications we've had have been on the work email.
