BLOCK PARTY SURPRISE FOR 2010

We are going to change a bit in the type of blocks we do for BPS! We'll begin our first month in February beginning with Wendy!

We will be doing Applique Blocks 12.5" unfinished or 6.5" unfinished size! This way we can have different size blocks but it will be easy to arrange in a quilt. Now there are all kinds of Applique and whatever method you choose is up to you. For me it'll be fusible I think...don't know might try hand applique! So no matter the method you use or many different methods it's okay this is your quilt!

Our Theme will be “Heading Towards Christmas” in 2010!

So each month I'm going to ask that you choose an Applique Block...you may design it yourself, but if you do please get it to me so I can put it in PDF format so everyone will have the same design and if we want to enlarge or reduce the size it's easily done in PDF format. You can use coloring books, just scan and share with us...but it would be best to find a template online that is free for all to download and there are tons of those so don't think you won't be able to find them.

You might give an Alternative Applique block also... that way we can combine the two or make two blocks! It's going to be your Christmas Quilt any size you like so just have fun! We don't want any blocks repeated unless there are really different...you know what I mean..if you are in doubt email me and I'll give a ruling! For example, a teddy bear can be done up in so many different ways..we don't want a dozen of them but a couple doesn't hurt. You will be sending me your choices ahead of time so I can help monitor it. I will email you directly when I need your blocks and photos.

Here is our line up for the months ahead! Also we are going to be a bit strict about getting them done each month...if life gets in the way and it does let me know at my email listed below.

You can be excused for one or two months but more than that you will be dropped and your blocks removed from the Album.

Since we have more than 12 members if someone can't participate at the last minute we will draw from the following members to fill in so try to have something in the wings!
