whoohhooooooo!! it's time for a new block announcement! it's less than an hour until May 1 officially arrives, but us "kept women" don't like to wake up TOO early you know and i know everyone is just drooling in anticipation!!!

I love both of them, Cindy. Will probably do Mississippi first - because it's the easiest. But I love the intricacy of the Frolic Variation.

Oh Cindy what lovely blocks and of course you had to put Mississippi in there very apt, and a pretty block Love the Frolic block, that would make a gorgeous baby quilt

Well i love them both. I do both blocks everytime so I have a really big quilt for my bed..

Visited the lqs and boy was I in luck...lavendar is the color of the month and any fabric you buy that is lavendar is 20% off. So I bought 6 fq's 1930's fabric that had lavendar in it....also a beautiful batik lavendar yard of fabric. I am mailing the batik to my friend in exchange for some fabric she sent me.

So I can make my block tomorrow! That is if I don't pitch my machine and these jar blocks out the back door!

thank you for letting be a part of the BPSII it has been a lot of fun and I am going to ask you to find someone to take my place as co-hostess at this time is isn't fair of me to take up the title and not to be here and help you with the site, not sure when I will be back to sewing/quilting but the time isn't now for sure. I so enjoyed our time together and hope someday we can work together again.

I should of mailed you privately but that would reqiure a repeat of typeing some of this and this way the others will know also what is going on and hopefully be understanding about my health issues and not wonder what has happened. I have found another lump and see the surgeon on Monday for that, I have also developed a sore throat that the family doc will check out tomorrow. The family doc has already this past week put me on a new pain med and a temp. steriod for my wrist and knee pain that is being caused by my breast cancer 5 year pill---it is blocking hormones that can feed breast cancer and this is working well but yet leaving me in horrible pain with my knees and wrist which is keeping me down and not able to walk much and definatley not able to do any sewing!!!

Before all of this came up I did get all my blocks caught up through FEBRUARY
but didn't get them posted and now I am behind for this years blocks and I justt hink it is best that I drop out right now deal with my health and pick this back up at a future date if I do become able...I hope that you all understand I don't take responsibilities lightly and yet it isn't fair to Betty not to be here and help her with the site. Just keep me in your prayers I will post when I can just typing is to much right now, anything I do causes swelling so have fun ladies and know I love you all and miss you bunches. Here is a pic of a grouping of the last set of blocks that I made the heart and butterfly are for February 2008 then the last row blocks one and two are January 2008 then the others I get lost on which month of 2007 they go with.

Hello everyone! I want to announce that we have a new member to BPS... Jean aka Hummingbird has joined us.

I have also asked Jean to become my Co-Hostess and she has agreed. She is someone I'm in touch with daily and she will be handy when needed. She is an experienced quilter and someone that will help when we need help in making our blocks.
