Aren't these blocks fun? I, too, like the Brasstown Star...I don't kno HOW I started using purples in my blocks, it was just something I had on hand - first one turned out yukky with just scraps, so remade it last week and Betty reposted it with my other May block. I enjoy making these blocks, fun to have something to look forward to using them. Come on ladies, let's have more join us. Making these, you get to keep them for yourselves.yeeeaaaa..

I seem to remember that the quilt you made your daughter for Christmas was with purples - right? Maybe that's where you got your initial scraps for the BPSII blocks? LOL

I got both of the blocks made. Now I need to take a photo and post it, maybe over the weekend. However, My Amish Star is really the "Almost Amish Star" as I got the flying geese parts of the block pointing the wrong direction. I didn't notice it until I had the block completely made. It looks good like it is so I'm not going to take it apart. Later I might make it over, but not right now. I'm trying to get my sewing room sorted out and packing started so that I'm ready when the time to move comes.

Good for you Barb, hey we have all done that backwards or upsidedowns thing before.

In my first Pretty Kitty Swap I did a peiced kitty block and thought it turned out great. The next swap Oknana did the same pattern and it was just like mine and when the lady that got one of them she noticed the ears were upsidedown. We had a good laugh over that one, both of us got it wrong and no one but Juanita noticed it.

So if it looks good leave it!

I'm still not sure about posting photos but here goes a try at posting the two blocks for June. As you can see in the green and white one, I got the points in the center turned around so it really isn't a star but I like how it came out so I'm not changing it. May make another later.
