I sent an email to Bernina today to see if they have any dealers / service in Seoul. If I have to get another machine, I want a stitch regulator!!!!

So sorry to hear your machine is under the weather.... I'm fortunate! I have two Singer featherweights, my Juki straight stitch quilter, and my Janome machine. I always have a backup!

I do craft shows in the fall. Two yrs ago my machine quit. Took it to the repairman and he was backed up with repairs but because I take my machine to him once a year for a checkup and I was sewing for the shows he did my machine right away. He suggested I get a back up machine. Last summer I did and it is as good as my regular machine. It was a used machine and very reasonably priced. If anyone does a lot of sewing a cheap back up is the best. Grandma J

Well, I gave in and picked up a cheapie Singer at the BX. Pretty basic but it sews a straight line.

I'm spoiled by my Janome though!! I'm still waiting to hear from them about authorized dealers in Seoul. Grrr!

Gingersmurf, it's good to hear from you! How do you like your new home? I'm sorry you are having machine problems. Hope you hear from Janome soon! Keep us posted.

LOL! Denise, I have 9 machines, and all work but 1, so I have backup, though of different styles. LOL! My 2 Featherweights are my main backup and I love them for the piecing. It's great to have backups.

Carole if worse comes to worse there is always the old fashionway.. hand sewing.. I saw at our guild meeting last week a lady hand pieced a stack and whack!! oh my I can get mine done in about 3 days and that is working f/t.

i hope it gets fixed real soon I am sure it misses the buzz of the material as well..
