Hello Everyone! Thank you for all your kind words. I have to agree with you, it's gorgeous! China will be 9 in December, she is like a little butterfly herself...going here and there and always smiling.
The butterflies are appliqued. The original pattern called for a pieced background...of neutral blocks. I wanted it to look like they were dancing in the sky and I think it does.
I always look at a quilt when I've finished and think of what I did wrong or could have done different...the only thing is; maybe have the two different butterflies in the center circle. Other than that, I'm pleased with it.

Kim, that is beautiful! Sounds like China and her quilt are a perfect match together.

I don't see the two different butterflies in the middle that you are referring to. You should be very pleased its fantastic. WTG
