Friendship Star

Wendy, I've not used this particular brand, but others like it (less expensive) and not had any problems. I actually use sizing, not starch (and only just started this recently), since starch is a food product and can attract moths. Of course, if your fabric storage is air-tight, this is a non-issue. Good luck in your search!

Hi... Here's one I got off of TV sometime back...and then went to the website. It's really not starch ...but it's nice to have the Lavender smells! That's really big in this country since it's commercially grown and marketed. Lavender Water for Ironing
There's also a starch recipe on this page. I almost used some of the stuff below on my sweeties work shirts once...WHEWWWWWW.....glad I caught myself. Last Mother's Day my quiting partner in crime gave me a bottle of Mary Ellen's Best Pressed Clear Starch in Lavender Field fragrance (it's in a hand sprayer). It's lasted me a very long time and smells pretty good! I guess I'm a little afraid of anything that might attract moths too. "Faithful Friends Gather Near to Us...." . .

I might need to make some of this for myself, tho

Thank you to all. I went to my lqs and got Mary Ellen's spray starch for $ 8.99. She has several flavors, including unscented. The spray works well, small areas of drips, nothing like the other spray bottles.

Could it be that the starch remaining in the nozzle after you use it is drying and causing the clogging? Just a thought. As for all of the lavendar, I'm allergic to it and can't stand the smell of it. They are adding it to everything now, detergent, fabric softner, shampoo, deodorant, hand and body lotion, and such. Next I expect to find it in toothpaste. My dermatologist isn't real happy about that trend either as lavendar on your body causes sun sensitivity. Hope you are able to solve the spray bottle problem. Barb...lol I'm not laughing at you (honest)...but boy howdy...you better never move to W. WA! We eat, drink, smoke and roll in lavender!!!...lol I have to admit I was served lavender lemonade once and it was very good... lavender ice cream is a bit bizarre...but...we dooooooooooooooo love our lavender here. One of our local lavender farms JUST got some dog collar bandana patented that's full of lavender for calming the hyper pooch...lol I have my doubts, but as far as a marketing stunt...getting it launched just before the holidays take off was brilliant...lol Here...just for laughs - Dog Dot CalmWe host one of the largest lavender festivals in the PNW...and to me...the fragrance is utterly out of this world! However, I'm sure I'd feel differently about it if I was allergic to it! "Faithful Friends Gather Near to Us...." . .
