Holy Toledo, Batman! Could it be..... true?!?!?!?

Hmmmm,.... I wonder, Robin. To the Batcave! We'll check the Batputer to see if they mail order.

Sir?

Yes, Alfred.

Do check the quality of the said items in question. It shan't do having some joker taking advantage of the citizens of Gotham.

Indubitably.

Sorry! I get very silly when it gets this hot! Once I did a satire of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas about the mailman delivering the Ugly Block Swap Quilt to my door. And once I wrote a whole scene for James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock about picking out quilt fabric or some such nonsense. Just think, if I lived in the tropics I could be the Ernest Hemmingway of Mad Magazine! lol

At any rate, your friend needs to hurry home from Romania 'cuz this sounds inter-esting, verrr-y inter-esting!

Minor update: It exists!! I found it!! About a five to ten minute drive from my front door.

We drove out just to find it even though we knew it wasn't open at the time. As soon as I can, I will be going to check it out!!

He's open on Wednesdays and Saturdays and right now I don't have a driver's license yet so Wednesdays are out (hubby works), and we've had things scheduled for today and for next Saturday.

UPDATE!! UPDATE!! It IS real!!!

OMG - hubby took me out to the Happy Quilter warehouse today and all my fantasies came true!

A literal warehouse brimming with bolts and bolts and BOLTS of fabric. Not flat bolts either - the real McCoy, the ones off the loom!! Big huge round bolts of fabric.

And the price? $5.00 for TWO yards!!!

It's all the good stuff too! I spent 85,000 won (roughly $85 American).

I live in Heaven!!!!!!!

Wait, I have to brag more. I'm just so thrilled!!

For $85, I got 36 yards of fabric. That's $2 a yard!! Remember, I said it was $5 for two yards; well, for every 10 2-yard packs you buy, you get one free!!

Brand names? I have Lakehouse Dry Goods, Clothworks, MBT, Alexander Henry, Maywood Studio, Wilmington Prints, Blank Textiles, Andover, Moda, Benartex, and Makower UK!!!

I am just sitting here patting my new fabrics and giggling happily to myself.

I have to add, my wonderful fabulous husband took me down to a furniture store last week and had me pick out a glass door cabinet to hold all my fabric!

I am truly blessed!!

Now this is a sincere invitation: Anyone who wants to come visit South Korea and check out this fabulous fabric warehouse, my door is open!! I would love to have you as my guest here and take you around town and South Korea. You'll save so much money on the fabric, the plane fare won't matter!
