wendy & a friend are in Mississippi on their way to Starkville to visit another friend of theirs and they stopped by Batesville so we could meet!

wendy and her friend donna are back on the road now. it was so nice meeting the both of them!! sorry no pics tho - i wasn't really expecting this and failed to have my camera with me and neither wendy or donna remembered to pack theirs!! but since donna is having to start caring for her aunt who lives here at starkville it sounds like she will be visiting mississippi more often and will bring wendy along with her sometimes - so i will be sure to have my camera with me the next time! we met at the subway in the walmart - they ate subs and we chatted & visited & i looked over their fabric purchases LOL wendy said they hit several quilt shops while they were in missouri visiting with her sister! imagine that!! found out that friend donna grew up in the horn lake (just south of memphis) and the whitehaven (memphis) areas - we knew many of the same streets and my uncle's name was familiar but she wasn't sure if she knew him or not. donna had moved to michigan before my grandmother moved to the whitehaven area. but still, just goes to show it's a small, small world!

i'll have to post a pic later of the green tassel wendy brought me! i now officially have a tassel collection!! roflol

Ahem, ahem, ahem..... does this mean there will thankfully be no more talk of my lack of a picture???? LOL Ha! I ducked, Cindy, you missed! hehehehe

and so will wendy's for that matter - come to think of it, i did see a little twinkle in her eye when she said she slap forgot to pack her camera . . . must be something about you michigan gals that make you camera-shy . . . of course, you know that this is a fact, since debbie bell and jody are the exceptions to what is apparently the rule . . .
