Hi, strange that I come online to ask about a ruler set that was given to me, and Felicia has a thread going on rulers too!

A friend at work gave me some rulers she found in the attic (belonged to husband's late wife). They are made by Cottage Tools. One is 6x24 inches and has little "feet" on one end. The other on is 3x15 with two little "feet" also. It looks like to me they are set up to slide along each other and rest on the fabric so you can cut multiple layers of cloth and move the smaller one along the length of the larger one, making cuts as needed...but that's just a guess.
Does anyone know anything about them?

Ooops! Well, long day at work, what can I say???
Yes, I'll attempt to take some photos now and try to get them uploaded to the pc...wish me luck, new camera, old eyes.
I might also post this query on a UK site, since that is where I am and I assume that is where they came from.
