Grandma's Choice |
I would want to do the center section. I love making blocks and choosing materials.
I haven't progressed beyond stitching in the ditch and I don't do that well. Kat |

Hey this is picking up some steam. I gave a little pep talk on another thread a while ago encouraging others to try to do this. No one has had time to see it yet.
No Maria I didn't miss your post I just didn't take the time to add your name to the list and I just now saw this post of yours. I didn't get on the forum very early. I had to watch the R. B. Parade this morning. It came on at 8:00 here. I think it rained the whole length of Calif. to day. For the 1st time in 51 years it rained on the parade as well as it rained here in mid-northern Calif. Kat if you don't stitch in the ditch very well you would probably be good at freemotion quilting. You don't have to stay in the ditch for that. You can go all over the place! I'll have to get a list in one place and add to it. But I dkon't know how to go into a post and edit it so that I can keep this info all in one place at one time. Can anyone help me with that? Fewrrell aka the purple lady Ferrell aka the purple lady |

Ferrell, I regret that I can not join in your Round Robin. I would not be able get to the post office when I would need to due to my DH's disbaility. However, I can indeed help you with the EDIT that you ask about.
1.On the bottom extreme RIGHT hand bottom side of the page that YOU post are 3 little yellow symbols. If you hold your mouse arrow on top of them without clicking the mouse, they will tell you what they are. 2. The CENTER yellow symbol has a pencil & eraser on it. That one is where you can edit or delete your post. CLICK it. 3.The post will open & you can edit any post you have done. HOW TO EDIT: Put you blinking cursor (that is that straight bar that blinks) on the end of a word that you want to remove & then hit backspace to remove the word. Just re-add a word you want to change there. There are other ways but this might be easier for you to start out with. Hope this helps! TeXas (or just for you...Elaine... When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me". Erma Bombeck |

I've decided to call off this challenge. There has just not been enough interest to go any further with it. To those few that did respond. Sorry

Sister's Choice |
I'm going thru some older posts and came acrossed this one. I LOVE round robins, but haven't seen it done like this before. The one I have done went like this:
Lets say there are 5 people in a group. Everyone makes a center piece. Then we all mail that piece to another one our group. That person puts a border on it, and sends it to another person in the group, that person puts a border on, etc. Then it gets back to the first person. So when you get your middle block back, it will have 4 borders on it. Then you back it and quilt it. The borders can be what you want, however wide, etc. Keeping with the theme of the middle piece. I love these quilts. They are so beautiful when done and anyone can do them. If you are beginner, then you put on a simple border. If you are more experienced, you can put on a more complicated one. It just depends. I would love to do another one of these (even though the one I have still needs a back and quilted Dorian |
