I am just geting the hang of this forum, and this project sounded soooooo lovely! I think I might just have to join in this and build a block each month. I know it's going to evoke some very nice memories. I have to catch up, but that shouldn't be too hard.
One of the first memories of a song I loved as a child was "this old house" by Rosemary Cloney.

Sharon and JOdy, we would love to have you join this challenge with us. Jody the blocks don't necessarily have to be applique. You can use any number of techniques to achieve your goal. One thing is for sure this quilt will be a very interesting keep sake for your family.

I started work on my Feb. block yest and I can't wait to get it done and posted.

Connie,

If I still can I would love to try this Challenge.Smile

I was telling DH about this and he was so funny talking about songs he rememebered from his childhood and singing them in music class.

Then he was coming up with oh so many songs for the rest of the months. He totally encouraged me to do this oneSmile

That is wonderful to hear Jody. I really think we are going to enjoy this quilt and I know the finished project will be so unique to each of us that they will be prized.

Can't wait to see what you come up with for your songs and your depiction of the lyrics.

Ok ladies and gents I have posted my Feb. block in the album. I chose to do "You're Still the One". That song was played on our 25th wedding anniversary when Rick and I renewed our vows.
The block shows a picture of us at our original wedding in 1974 and then a picture of Rick dipping me at our Renewal ceremony and then a picture of us together at our Renewal ceremony.
