Hey, I just got an e-mail from Kris Driessen of QuiltBus/QuiltBug. Here's what she had to say:
Hello and welcome back! This is the Quiltbus News and Views list, an occasional newsletter telling you about the events at the Quiltbug Shop or at the Hickory Hills Quiltbus website. If you don’t remember how you got here, are having trouble reading this newsletter, would like to unsubscribe and/or change addresses, click here to make the corrections. If you are a new subscriber, this is an unusual newsletter. Normally, I do a little sales spiel telling people what is new online and what is new in the shop. Then I will add quilt related news that I have picked up along the way and maybe some interesting websites, usually finishing up with something fun. This newsletter is different. It’s all fun! I am really excited to be able to offer something that has never been done before: an online mystery with the clues presented in video format. I call it a VQM (video mystery quilt) and our first quilt starts tomorrow morning at 9AM EST. The names of the quilt is Years To Come, and you will find the first “clue” at http://www.quiltbug.com/year-my.htm . Once an hour, the NEXT button will become active, so you can continue on with the next clue. For those of you on dial-up, not to worry. You can still take part. The clues are also written on the page. Just hit the Print button in the upper right hand corner of the page. You will print out just the text and the illustrations, not the videos. But do try to watch the videos if you can - there are tips and tricks there that you will not find in the text. My goal is to make this as much like a classroom experience as possible. Toward that end, I have also installed a chat room. The link is underneath the print button. Be sure to sign in and say hello I am looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow - and to seeing pictures of your quilts in the days to come:-)) Kris What to choose, what to choose!! And I'll be working at the house tomorrow - aw, man! Gerda A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels. Keep looking UP! When it seems there is no way out, there is always a way up! |

Gosh, Gerda.
It sounds so tempting, but I have soooo many other quilts already needing to be done! Aargh! I love mystery quilts too. They are such fun. Wasie |
