I've set the listing fees really low (just 5 cents to list an item!) to encourage people to participate. I'd like to test it out before the official launch (next Sunday 2/24/08) to make sure that all of the details have been worked out.
If you are like me, you probably have an overflow of quilty things and selling them would be a bonus!
Check it out and let me know what you think. Feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanks for bidding on the book, Nola! I'm tyring to get a few items in the system so that it doesn't look so bare, but with the storms that have rolled through our area this afternoon, my satellite internet connection is spotty. I've been posting items in between showers, lol.
I can't wait to see what others will post for sale there! I think it will be so much fun to buy each other's stuff! I'll be waiting for your listings, Nola!
Meg, quilts are very welcome at Quiltsy! I'd love to see some of your lovely quilts for sale.
Did you ladies notice the category for UFOs? Reckon anyone would buy our unfinished projects? Who knows, it just might be the way to get them out of our closets and in the hands of someone who will turn them into something special.

Kim, are you going to keep this strictly quilt-related, or might you expand it to include some other crafts?
I sell on ebay, though not bigtime. EBay has made some recent changes, however, and there are ALOT (and I mean thousands and thousands) of people who are looking for new venues to sell their items, and many I know are quilters and crafters/artists.
I'll be glad to pass along your site to the people I buy from who are quilters, but wanted to see if you had plans to expand it at all in which case I could let some others know about it as well.
Neat, Kim! I have several quilt tops I bought at garage sales and antique shops and I kow I will never finish them. I can put them here and see what goes.
I just bid on a pattern, too. Neat!

Kim, What a neat idea you have to do this. This is such a great idea for us to be able to sell our items to each other. Will have to put my thinking cap on of what I could sell on here. I do have an extra embroidery machine I could sell maybe. can't decide If I want to keep it or not. Will have to think about it. Have tons of books, but how do ya decide to let them go or not??? I want to keep them all. LOL.
Jen, that's an idea that I am considering. I'm waiting to see how the first few weeks go and add categories as needed. Thanks for the suggestion and for offering to pass the word about the site to others!
Cool beans, Linda! It would be great to see some quilt tops being offered for sale! And thanks for the bid on the pattern! It's one I purchased a couple of years ago and never got around to making. It is gorgeous!
Dorene, thanks for the feedback! I agree that it is hard to part with books, but my motto has become "If I haven't opened it or used it in 2 years, mark it "G" for GONE!" Wow! An EXTRA embroidery machine?!? Where do I sign up!

Oknana, I'll be watching the auction in case you decide to part with that embroidery machine!!! I've been wanting one - just can't afford even a cheap new one, especially now with hubby's job being so "iffy"!!! Did get word last week that a major university out of Marion MIGHT be interested in buying the farm. so I have to watch my pennies right now - this auction will be a great way to get a few items and maybe sell a few too! I know I've got a couple books I can part with. Just need to find the charger for the digital camera so I can take some pictures!
