Do any of you remember the applique challenge quilt that was started here 2 years ago? Last year I thought there were 12 blocks to the quilt. I had 9 done. Then, I discovered that there were actually 16 blocks. I couldn't get it finished and had to go back to work after the summer. After doing the math, I decided that to get a quilt large enough for a full bed with some overhang, I needed to increase the number of blocks to 20. So I had to design 4 blocks of my own.

Here's the puzzle. Can you tell which of the blocks are my design? One of my blocks can't be seen in my picture.... it's the last row, last column. But, can you find the other three? Some of you will know right away because you will have the block patterns. I hope I've designed these close enough to the originals so the quilt looks okay. And I still have the borders and corners to do..... I hope I will get them done this summer. T e picture is the first one on my quilt blog site.

Also, have any of you out there finished this quilt? I'd love to see everyone else's completed projects. I'll post my finished quilt if I ever get it all done.

Thanks for the compliment, Meg. The blocks that I designed must not be too different or you would have spotted them right away. That makes me feel great.

Okay, can anyone tell which are the different ones? Somebody, take a guess. I wanted to start this thread to have some fun!!

I am willing to venture a guess on closer inspection. In the left row, the first and fourth blocks. In the next row over from the left, the third block. I do not recall ever having seen those designs in any other applique quilt. They definitely have that "Baltimore Album" feel to them. I also like the way you incorporated light, medium and dark values. I have seen few appliqued quilts that were as successful at playing them off against each other.

I wasn't involved in his challenge either but I think that quilt is stunning!
I took a look at your blog and love everything that you have made - especially the 'Flower garden' quilt.

Actually Meg, those blocks were all part of the 16. Thanks again.... you've made my day. I hope others will give my puzzle a try.

Milica, Thanks for your compliments. I think I've taken longer on this applique quilt than the 'Flower garden' and I thought that one took a long time.

I love seeing all the quilts in your quilt blog that you have made. They are beautiful. I really like the celtic blocks. I've always wanted to make a celtic block quilt. ..... Someday!!

Thanks Mystical.

HapEWmN has guessed the first correct block!! Confetti Confetti I designed the 5th row, 1st column...... the vase of tulips.

Okay, Meg guessed row 1, column 1; row 3 column 2; and row 4 column 1.

HapEWmN guessed row 1, column 3 and 4; and row 5, column 1 is correct.

There are two more visable blocks that I designed. Does anyone else want to make a guess?

I'm having fun doing this. I hope you are as well.
