Mandy-

Mother says don't be so hard on your self. My dad (your grandpa- hehehe) used to say it's a poor dog won't wag its own tail. You have been honing your organizational skills and that's a good thing. Getting your office organized is good practice to thinking in logical and sequential steps when it comes to piecing or applique. You go girl! Mommy's proud of you!

I managed to get all my blocks laid out last night for my grand daughters quilt. But, I think I will take a pic and then change it up and see which way it looks best. It's kind of a color wash from one corner to the other. So I think I will start in the middle and work the colors out from there. Then I can look at the pictures side by side.

It's cloudy today and we are expecting lots of rain thru tomorrow. Hope you ladies to the east of us are ready for more. It seems to hit us first then turn into monster storms.

Gerda! We are still waiting for house pics! Wink

Right now I'm taking a break from sewing, cleaning the bathrooms. Now I need a break from that so thought to see what was going on here.

What I've accomplshed! Hey I think a lot for me. In the last two weeks I have finished a tiger block and a floral teapot for for a swap I'm in. Also in the making is 2 fancy hats with lots of embellishments...netting and bead! I have finished 2 BPS-II blocks that I was behind and almost finished with another which is a Paper-pieced doozy of a block with 12 sections to make before putting them altogether. Determined to finish that on today! I have 8 sections already completed and work on number 9!

Be back later when I've finished that block and posted it.

Jennell-

You made me think of the photographers at the museum. The museum has its own in-house photography department. They used to use Polaroids when they were getting ready to photograph something for a publication such as a book or postcard. This allowed them to make sure the lighting was correct, there were no unsightly shadows and no extraneous items that didn't belong in the shot before they committed themselves to 35mm film.

Nowadays, with digital cameras that is no longer an issue, and good thing, too, since Polaroid is going out of business.

I agree that that is a brillant idea to try two or three ways of placement and then study the photographs. Because sure as sure not once you decide you like it the other way, you can't remember how to do it.

Betty-

What is a tiger block? Are you making a pieced or appliqued tiger? Or did I miss the boat again?!?

Thank you Jacqui but you know I hate that tiger block! lol

Meg, I'll get them together in an Album and post a link later today. But I warn you the Tiger block was a nightmare and didn't really turn out like I would have liked. Wouldn't want that thing on my bed! lol

Oh I am waiting and waiting to see what a tiger block is. Sporty

We had a huge amount of rain yesterday. Our shop had leaks in the roof and water coming in the warehouse doors. Me and my wet-dry vac couldn't keep up with it all! The kids bridge was flooded again so they had to stay with us. Needless to say, I didn't get my blocks rearranged or pictures to compare. Here's hoping today goes a bit smoother.
