Sorry, Gerda,

I was trying out a new photo hosting site that Betty was using. I moved it to photobucket.

Try this:

Better?

The colors are really much brighter than this photo is showing.

Here is a close-up of the center basket:

Thanks, Pat!!! What wonderful colours you have chosen - it truly is springlike!! That's given me an idea, too, to choose softer colours - I tend to the brights, and the odd country/prim. Hmmm, will have to check my stash once I get it all unpacked again! Big Grin

Thanks again!

Pat, that is beautiful. I got it fine, now Adobe has this site and it is new so that is the reason for the Security Warning but I ignored it because I was familar with the site!

It was not problem at all!

I finished my pinwheel top this weekend. I wound up having to make another border for it because I couldn't make it fit. (dreaded coping strips didn't help at all) So I'm not very happy with it. I am going to call it a play mat instead of a quilt. It looks more like a checkerboard than a quilt. Roll Eyes

Hello ladies,
You all seem to be busy, even if it's not busy quilting!
Like most of you, life seem to get in the way sometimes. I worked on the quilt for my step-son and his fiance last month, but this month I'm busy getting ready for my mother's visit. five days to go... However, I did try my hand at wall hangings with photos printed on fabric. I'm making them for my Aunt who pushed me to try quilting and for her sister-in-law. They came to visit me three years ago and since I'm off to visit the same places with my mother...I decided to commemorate my first trip to Paris and to London.

Everything is ready except for the final dust/vac/mop. If I wasn't working late the next few nights I'd be quilting. Going in late the next few days so I might sew a few more blocks for the wedding gift. Only need about 20 more.

Have a good rest of the month everyone. Don't know if I'll get back on between now and the 17th of May when Mom leaves.

Hugs
KimUK

I sew, I sew, so off to work I go!

Kim, is this the mother that loves shoes? Wasn't it you looking for shoe blocks? I may be way off here. Anyway, I hope it's a wonderful visit for you and your Mom. I know you must be very excited to see her after all this time! Banana

Well I am finally finished with my 2 tops. Now I think I have talked myself into letting the machine quilters take over. I only have till June and really think it will be too hard to get one hand quilted by then. Plus there is just so much to do before my trip, I think it will just be easier on me and less stress. I will try to have one more pic up this week if you guys aren't tired of looking at it already. Wink

Lately, I've been trying to get my sewing shack back in order. I didn't know that I had so much fabric! Eek Alot of it belonged my late grandmother/great grandmother. I was really blessed in all of those boxes! I've been sorting into bins to get rid of the boxes because cardboard boxes attract bugs and mice.

Thursday, I ordered a roll of batting, a roll n' glide foot and a couple templates. I should get the Monday. Cleaning my quilt shack needed doing. The sooner it's cleaned, the sooner I can play with my new toys when they come.

My last three quilts are posted on "Share My Quilt" on the www.HGTV.com quilt & needlework site. My board name there is also "quiltsrfun". The quilts are Jacob's Ladder, Storm at Sea, and Makayla's first Easter. Feel free to take a peek and comment on them.

HI quiltsrfun..

I TRIED to go ck out your quilts, but got lost in the HGTV numerous craft sites (which were FUN..LOL), but I got over 200 hits for "Share My Quilt".

Would you just do a copy/paste of the actual link in here? I'd love to see your projects! I see a knitting and crocheting link, but not a quilting one. Grrrrr.... point me in the right direction pleaseeeeeeee.... Big Grin
