Here is a quick and easy guide to help you use Photobucket.com to post photos in our forum. Photobucket is a free image hosting service and by hosting your photos there, you won't be using up our limited storage space here in the forum.
================================================= 1. Go to PhotoBucket.com and click on the red JOIN button. 2. Choose a username and password, then click the blue button at the bottom. 3. On the next page, fill in your personal info and click the blue button. 4. On the next screen, click on "Go to my album". If your username is already taken, try another then proceed to your album. 5. Once you are in your album you will see the upload area on the right. Find a photo on your hard drive and click the upload button. 6. You'll be taken to a screen where you can add a description if you'd like. Click "Save and Continue" and you'll be taken back to your album and will see the photo there. If your photo is really big and would cause folks to have to scroll around to see it, you can click the "edit" link above the photo to resize it, crop it, and anything else to make it look better. Once you are satisfied with the photo, click in the "Direct Link" text box and the link to the photo will automatically be copied to your clipboard. 7. To post the photo in our forum, simply click the picture icon in the posting screen and paste the direct link url there. I hope this helps! Photobucket is a great service to use and the editing capabilities offered there are just what some of you have been looking for to fix up your photos! P.S. All of the photos in this message are hosted at Photobucket! Kim ----- Kim Noblin |

With directions this user friendly, I may have to break down and buy a disposable camera! Hey! Wait a minute! I have one left over from DS1's wedding. Would it still be good?
I am amazed and very grateful that you stepped out the directions so nicely. I think even I can navigate it! That was a tremendous amount of work. Thank you. Meg Proud Coastie Mom http://www.myquiltblog.com/ohiorose53/ http://www.serialquilters.com/ohiorose53 I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend, til death, you're right to say it. Kim, thank you for this information, I am trying it.
Question, is there any way to get rid of the spam advertising that puts you in a loop when you are on photo bucket the site? Thanks This message has been edited. Last edited by: Mare Quilt, |
