June, you are absolutely right - the longer the arm the better.

June, thanks so much for providing the link to the Bailey. I am no where near ready to even start dreaming but I like to follow the questions and learn and always so much easier w/ a pic.
Lizzie please let us know what you decide on.

Continued thanks girls

I didn't know about the Bailey, so now I have something else to look into. I won't be purchasing anything until the end of October, so I'm still in the fact-gathering phase. I used the HandiQuilter Sixteen at one of the shops in our local shop hop last weekend and LOVED it, but it will end up costing close to $8000.00 when you add a table and stitch regulator. That is NOT a price I'm prepared to pay at this point.

I've heard good things about the Pfaff GrandQuilter and Viking MegaQuilter. There's a place in Pennsylvania (a few hours away) that sells them with New Generation frames (used to sell Inspira but they don't any longer).

Now I'll have to look into the Bailey. I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks again
Lizzie

I have the Janome 1600P and the Gracie II frame. I love the set up. I have not really used it too much in the past few months, but it is about to get a work out it won't forget........LOL!

It is a wonderful home machine set up. I think.
