Oh my gosh Jami! That is just too fabulous. I am extremely impressed. You make sure to let Jadyn know how wonderful we all think her work is. And you, Jami, must be one heck of a teacher Big Grin

Just beautiful! I'll be showing that picture to my 6 year old grandgirl! She's always wanting to sew - I got her a "Sew Precious" machine (like a Barbie) for Christmas last year - and like the Barbie, it's really hard to keep it sewing straight. In fact, it's hard to keep it sewing - period! I was somewhat disappointed in that it won't hold the tension.

I have several older machines that sew pretty good and I may let her try using one of those - with supervision. One is a White 1510 that I just dug out yesterday and cleaned up - it sews beautifully. Going to get the other one out today and clean it up - not sure what kind it is.

Anyway, give your granddaughter a hug!!! That is one lovely quilt! Wish I had it here to enter in the Kid's Division of our little quilt show that's this weekend!!!

What a great memory for Jaydn to have of her grandmother teaching her to quilt. She did a great job.

I don't know if she thinks I'm "cool" or not...she finally got to spend some time with my Sister a couple weeks ago. I think that I have been replaced in the "cool" department. Frown But...I'm still the Grandma!! Big Grin Cheer

Jami I am impressed, her first quilt turned out very good. And the memories you made w/ this child are priceless.
Sometimes I have seen used starter machines for very cheap, that might be the way to go for now.
Glad you had so much fun and yes our grand kids automaticlly give us braggin rights..lol
