I agree Lizzie, beautifully done! Congratulations on your fine work.

LOL, my first quilt is so funny too look at. Puckered here and there, too much material between quiltings so it fluffs up, not good at all. LOL. But my son still loves it and its in his room.

That is really nice Lizzie! Now I'm thinking I should take a class too. I am so intimidated to try new things. Especially triangles!

Deb - I've been trying to locate a free version of the basket square, but haven't had much luck. The book we used for class is called "Learning to Quilt" by Lori Yetmar Smith and it was published by Leisure Arts. Most of the blocks are ones that are well-known, but this one is simply called "Basket" in the book. Oh well... I'll keep looking.

Thanks for trying I have searched the net before now for one upright like that but to no avail.

I will see about that book you mentioned and I might even could take a diagnoal basket and figure out to make it upright. I like them upright that way not always tipped over LOL...unless you do a lot of blocks on point!!!

Happy Quilting!

Hey Deb

I hope this works... I found a pattern for an upright basket on the net. Its similar to the one I made, but not exactly the same. Anyway, I hope this link works http://www.quilterscache.com/U/UprightBasketBlock.html
