I hope it's okay for us to post pics again! My fabric came in today so here it is. I tried to just post it on serial quilters but it's not working for me today. Anyway, this will be my first quilt class and I'm so nervous! I hope I don't leave anything important at home, like thread or something. LOL
The class is April 5th so with luck and the wind in my back, I hope to finish this and the 3D pinwheel for my new grand daughter in June. Big Grin

Okay it took an act of congress to attach the pic, since photobucket is giving me fits too! But DIL got the job done! Roll Eyes

HI you!

The best thing I ever did as a newbie quilter was start to take classes! The atmosphere is PERFECT for learning and getting allll inspired! I STILL consider myself a novice quilter, but after taking a few classes I'm not NEAR as chicken to cut into a nice piece of fabric! I still love to dive into a class. They are just too much fun! I always nab a galpal and we do lunch...and make it a GREAT TIME!

Oh....AND as far as forgetting something going to class? About the 3rd class (my VERY FIRST TIME TAKING A CLASS) I FORGOT ALL MY FABRIC because we had to iron it and I hung it up! Red Face That was a 15 mile drive back home for me! I felt like such a DOUGH HEAD.. Roll Eyes..lolol The instructor was most kind about it.

Can't wait to see photos! Good luck...relax...and have a GREAT TIME!

POOF*

Oh my...just spotted your .jpg of the new fabric! That is really beautiful. The fussy cutting possibilities are endless! I think you could also make a breath taking "whack n' stack" with that too!

My problem is I always want to buy a whole BOLT of something I like so I have more it for a later projects...and later projects and...and…etc etc.. hehe

Felicia, the stack n whack is pretty much the same as the one block wonders. I think they call it kalideoscope too but that got way to long to type for me! Wink

That fabric is so pretty - are you using any other fabrics with it?

LOL Cindy, I used to have to type it all the time on my last big quilt. It's one of those words that I have to think thru everytime.

Jami, it's by Ro Gregg for Northcot. I saw the teapots and it reminded me of my UK girls and just fell in love with it. I found this on ebay (more than I wanted to pay) Some say it's discontinued but some say it's coming back so I don't know. It is available in a lilac-bluish color too. And I will probably look for one of the matching fabrics for the back and borders Milica.

I can't wait for the class! Yippee!
