I took Cymbalta for about 6 months. I took it for anxiety attacks. I wasn't diagnosed for depression but I think maybe I had a winter depression thing going on at the time. I am also type2 diabetic. I'm off all meds at the moment but am suppose to be taking Janumet for diabetes, Symvastatin (sp) for colesterol and something eles for BP (forgot the name of med).

It is good to hear that you are off the meds for now. Hubby has decided not too thake the Cymbalta not sure why but he took the samples then didn't get it refilled. He needs to be back on his BP meds and his one a day aspirin too.

Doc put him on the trazadone and gradually took him off his elavil but the combo seemed to have worked super good but he didn't realize it till he took a deep dive for the worst once the elavil was out of his system~he is now back on it with the trazadone and is getting better. All 3 of the meds are labeled for anxiety or depression but seem to be good meds for neuroapthy. I know some of the arthritis meds work the same way ~some work for other things better.
