This question could be interpreted a couple of different ways. Let's see if I can find the answer you are looking for. I know of four different blocks that are all called Churn Dash. One of those blocks is also known as Picture Frame, one block is known by 19 other monikers and one block has 21 multiple personalities. So 4 and 1 and 19 and 21 is 45. Am I close?

Last night, there was a trivia question about Quilt National in Athens, Ohio, on the campus of Ohio University. I see in a magazine that came today that the 14th show is scheduled to open on May 26. This question is a two-parter. When was the show first organized? Why do they exhibit a particular type of quilt?

Here's your Blues Clues: The answers are related.

Meg

The first Quilt National was shown in 1979. They exhibit 'Art Quilts' as they believe that quilts were not only for beds but to be hung on walls as well - taking in new techniques, developing new notions, ideas, patterns etc. This art quilts are forever evolving.
