Hi Ladies....Thank you for all the nice words and welcomes. I really do appreciate them. The interest in and support of my work is appreciated more than you probably think.

Connie and Sara...The "Hot Dog" print is one of my favorites too but it never made it onto fabric because, back when I designed it, Timeless Treasures felt that it should have a whole group of other prints around it. I didn't see a whole group...just a fun print for those who would appreciate it (dachshund lovers or just dog lovers in general)It's not like you all couldn't go out and find some prints to coordinate without me having to design something specific for you...lol. So they didn't print it.

I think they might feel differently now as we sometimes do "stand alone" novelties now. So I will try to re-submit it but it always helps if you email or call them to ask for it specifically. They really do listen and if they get a good response to it they will undoubtedly print it. You can get to them through my website.

Jacqui...Glad you like the mice. It should be in stores in March if you decide to go for it. And, like you said, I've already found a lot of inspiring people here :-)

Have a good Sunday, Everyone!

Cheers,
Patrick Irish

P.S. I'm working on turning the cat and birds on the directory page of my website into a wall hanging. It came from a group of fabrics called "Brazen Blue Birds" that was really popular and I've had a lot of requests for a pattern using the characters. What do you think?

Well I'd certainly be interested in the "Hot Dog" fabric, as a stand-alone fabric or as a series. And, you're right ... we can always find coordinating fabrics on our own ... we're big girls LOL.

There's a set of hot dog figurines that I want to get my hands on too LOL. They're styled after the Cows on Parade figurines.

I just took a gander at the jewel toned fabrics and all I can say is "Ohh, la la!!!" My brain is working overtime to style those heehee.

I do appreciate that you've come in to chat with us and hope you decide to hang with us often Big Grin

I love the idea of making a wall-hanging from those birds and cats Patrick! Makes me want to do one too!! Smile I just love the whimsical and playful qualities I see in your novelty fabrics!

I make a lot of baby quilts as well as quilts for young children and I can see so many possibilities when I look at your designs. Ahhh, so many quilts (floating around in my head) and so little time... Smile

Glad to hear it since I'm just about finished with the pattern! I'll spend the rest of today finishing up the pattern and then put it all together in the next day or so after deciding on fabrics. The pattern will be released at April Quilt Market in Salt Lake City but I'll give you all a sneak peek when it's all finished.

You're the first to know that I am launching a new line of patterns at Quilt Market. I used to design patterns for Indygo Junction and had a blast doing it but then the demands for fabric took my attention away from patterns for awhile except for the books I've done. The patterns I did then were under my business name of "Out On A Whim". I'll do these under my name or the "Patrick Lose Studios" name. I hope you'll let your quilt shop owners know to look for them at market.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was busy with work but I enjoy it so that's o.k. too!

Patrick-

Have you been introduced to the O'Nutt family yet? Go to the Off Topic section, open it up and scroll down til you find a thread entitled O'Nutts. It will either tickle your funny bone or frighten you away completely! I think the funny bone will win out! LOL

I can't wait to see your new patterns Patrick - and how fun to be among the first to know about them! I love your style and just know I'll want them all! Smile I'm going to the quilt shop this week and I'll be sure and mention to them to keep an eye out for them.
