Pam&Jo...Thanks....I've been quilting for 9-10 years. I've hit a "slump" recently so there's a chance to do some catching up, LOL. I'm doing alot more surfing than quilting these days. I've been looking to be inspired.

DD(9) and I are going to tackle my two scrap bins this summer and make string blocks. I'm hoping that the bins empty quickly so that we have time to set them together before school starts in August. I was offered more scraps yesterday but didn't accept them because I had plenty already. Those scraps have an open invitation though so if I need them they're still there for me to have. I knew if I had taken them yesterday that my friend's scraps would inspire me to do something different. My DD is overly anxious to make string blocks so that's what we have to do, LOL....wouldn't want to disappoint her.

Janice,
Thank you for your quilt tour all of them are just beautiful. You are very talented.
I loved the tumbling block flag. I used to be afraid of Y seams but they are quite fun to do now. Did you design the pattern yourself or did you purchase it?
The teddy bear is so precious, I bet your cute daughter loves it.
Thanks for sharing.

Rebecca P....You are welcome...The flag quilt believe it or not is all half square triangles. The friendship blocks are made like they normally are (4hst/5sqs.). I didn't design this quilt. I found a free pattern after 9-11 so I made it. I got something turned different than the pattern though and the tumbling blocks were created by my mistake. I like it though. It was suppose to be a wavy flag. Sometimes you get something better when you mess up, LOL.

The teddybear quilt...my daughter liked when she was 3-4 years old...then she went on to princess stuff. She's more into Hannah Montanah and High School Musical stuff now. Right now her room is princess stuff and she's gonna have to keep it that way until she's maybe 12 and then we'll talk. It cost too much to be changing everything as often as her tastes change. She still likes the princess thing but not like she did. She's just now starting to play with her Barbies even though she's had them since she was 4-5 years old.

Janice,
I just have to say, what fond memories I have of playing with my Barbie. My friend & I would spend the afternoon together playing for hours. Funny thing was we spent more time planning the story and building the set than playing with Barbie. Ah but that was long ago Smile
