Gerda, that is what the JN ones are, except she gives a little more wiggle room and squares them up to strip cut on a straight edge.

I did have a bit of a problem with one piece where JN left too much extra and the seam was a different angle than the actual cutting line. I had a hard time placing it right so that it fit after sewn and flipped!

To so this, after I cut them on the straight, I go to my cutting mat and line up the extra quarter inch so that my seam line runs parallel with my seam allowance line and cut off the extra. Works much better and makes it much easier to line it up.

I only have 6 more arc blocks to finish and then still a bunch of star blocks, but it is getting there. The only thing about this quilt is that there really isn't a chance to layout part of it as I go along....because of the way the blocks fit together. Oh well, that is part of the inspiration that is getting me to work towards a finish!

Ruth and Gerda

Thanks for the info - I guess if I had started quilting with FP I would be ok with it but I didn't and because of my resistance to it I avoid FP at all times now. One day though I will put time to it and conquer this process!!! lol
