Want to see a beautiful quilt? I think it is simply stunning. Then click to see the 2006 winners. Remember when I told you about rescuing a quilt from my FIL's house? I was fairly convinced that it was a kit quilt. I first quit in the winner's circle is its twin. Same pattern, same colors, only the quilting design is different.

Sorry- none was given. Did you notice that all the motifs have hearts in them? I tried goggling Baltimore album quilts with heart motifs, but came up blank as far as a pattern was concerned.

Well, I get a "A" for effort! I found it- does this mean I've been hanging out with Gerda too much?!? LOL

The two blocks shown with the book review are in the third column, second and third rows. Whatya think of that? Have I redeemed myself, Jacqui? LOL

Meg - you got librarian written in your future!

Y'know, when I see quilts like these, I ask myself what those people do besides quilt. I mean, how LONG does it take to do one like this? Also, do they ever use it? Are their walls full of it? It is just amazing to me!!!

Tata-

Once upon a time I had a job as a typist for the local libray, does that count? This was back in the olden days when dinosaurs roamed the earth and the world was still cooling off. Back in the days of card catalogs- no technology then, not even a wheel! My job was to type the author/subject/title cards that went into the card catatlog. I typed three cards for each book. Thought of writing a book myself- Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the Dewey Decimal System*.

Jacqui, you nut! How is you wanting the book my fault? LOL Methinks you have enrolled in University of Doug's correspondence course-How to make your mother feel guilty for everything that isn't perfect in your life 101. Of course, there is a prerequisite for this class. You must have successfully completed How to avoid taking personal responsibility for anything you do 101. Somehow, Jacqui, I don't think you will recieve passing grades. How does it feel to be college drop-out because you are too darn nice! LOL

P.S. Some days I think my Doug will graduate magna cum laude! LOL No "niceness" (is that even a word?) wasted on him! Too busy still engaged in his "angry young man" phase.
