What a truly stunning quilt - you surely cannot be a beginner with work like this!!!
I certainly would love to see more piccies of any other quilts you've done
I love that pattern - is it one of your own?

Pam, both of your quilts are just wonderful. Learn to appreciate your own talent. I just kept going back and forth, looking at both of them. Great job on both, so I can't say I favor one over the other.

Thanks everyone. I am beginning to feel a bit more confident with the second one finished. Milica, my mother left me some quilt tops when she passed and I have quilted a few of those but these are my only two quilts done from scratch. The lap quilt is from a Mystery quilt pattern in an old Quilt magazine that a friend loaned me, spring and summer of 2000.

Pam, those are really impressive. I still haven't gotten up nerve enough to tackle that many points!

Pam ... I love your "scrap" lap quilt! Great pattern. Beautiful workmanship. How nice that you used the "scraps" from your first quilt to create such a wonderful quilt. WTG! Clap Clap Clap

Thanks, everyone. I have to say that the people on this forum have inspired me to keep quilting. I love seeing pictures of everyone's work, and have found some really nice patterns through links posted here. I don't post a lot -- not enough hours in the day -- but I try to skim the board every few days.

Right now I'm working on another paper pieced pattern for another lap quilt. I have a sewing box by the sofa so that I can sew while sitting with hubby at day's end. I'm also gathering fabrics to start a couple of BOMs. So I have plenty to keep me busy this summer, when it is too hot to work outside in the gardens here in Texas. My goal is to have at least two bed sized quilt tops finished and ready to quilt by winter.

You are an inspiration Pam! Your quilts are beautiful and if you are just a beginner I can't wait to see your work in a few more years! Just awesome!
