Check out this slide show from the Houston show. Scroll down to The Fabric of Our Lives. This man is a writer for the magazine, Texas Monthly. What a nice tribute to his mother. Hope springs eternal, maybe my sons will get it someday, too! (P.S.- Jody, Debbie, Julia, Wendy, Char- check out the T-shirt of the long-arm quilter! LOL)

*ahem* 1st place in handquilting category went to a barbara newman of MISSISSIPPI just thought i would make sure y'all heard that . . .  i'm not much on artsy quilts, but that feathered one looked great! and i liked the one titled "Song" too. love & hugs, beechnut (cindy) a/k/a Miss Tassels "She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing." That is awesome!!! I live here so I have the pleasure of being at the shows each and every year did not make it this year due to moms illness but trust me I am so not happy about it but for the last 6 years since beginning quilting I have not missed and it does depict the way it is with all the fanfare and the ooh's and ahh's that come as we look and stare, admire and take pics of (those that you can) I applaude this editor for doing such a great job on his experience there!!! It is really the greatest quilting show to me.
