Hello!

If you love to look at gooooooooorgeous quilts please enjoy the results and tour of the 2007 quilt show associated with our Lavender Festival!
Sunbonnet Sue Quilters Association
A couple of the quilts tucked in these links are unsung heros! In the section marked “Quilt Show Winners 2007“ look at the 3rd place winner - "Midnight Jewels". It was done to perfection with black seed beads, and sequins. The photo fails to do it justice. If you’re interested I think I have some detailed close ups of it in my quilt photo file. I must have studied this little beauty for 15 minutes.
Another favorite of mine was made by the same 3rd place winner mentioned above (For the record.. I don’t know this person..lol)). As you study this little gem of a wall hanging...keep in mind that the octagon pieces sewn together to make this project are the size of a NICKLE (maybe a smidge smaller)!!!!!!!!!!!!! My biggest regret was NOT holding a dollar bill up in front of it to really give you a SIZE comparison!! ITTY BITTY LITTTTLE GRANDMA'S FLOWER GARDEN!
Anyhow... I’ll be off to this show on Saturday first thing. I’ll try to take photos of the best one. We have some very fine quilters in this area!!!
Enjoy...
Felicia

Felicia,
OMG! words can't express how beautiful those quilts are. The G flower garden one is amazing.
I see quilts like those & wonder why I even try to quilt.
Thank you for sharing.

You have a lavender festival ? I just love lavender. I have lavender iron water, lavender spray starch, lavender laundry soap. Everything smell so good when I quilt. Smile

Hi!

Lavender grows here like weeds...lol This is a spectacular time of the year when all the fields are in full bloom. We are still having very cool weather so the MASSIVE bloom will hit about next week, but it's not raining...so I'm sure the organizers of the festival will be thrilled. I also have the Lavender spray starch...and lavender candles... sheet spritzer... you name it! This time of the year the local restaurants offer lavender ice cream, ice tea, cookies...ON AND ON AND ON!!..lol It's pretty good actually.

Glad you enjoyed the link. It will take them awhile but the 2008 results will be up posted too. I'll let you know!

Hugs...and have a good FRIDAY!

poof*
