I'm new to quilting and have never been to a quilt show. I saw that there is a big show in Houston. But the are two different events, the International Quilt Market and the International Quilt Festival. The first one appears not to be open to the public. Could someone explain this?
The quilt market comes first and it is just for businesses in the quilt industry. You have to send in business info (tax id #s, etc.) ahead of time to get in. Then the Festival starts and it is open to the public with quilt shows and vendors.
