This one is of the top of my Hoosier. My lights and flannel, 2 tops that need quilted (for 2 1/2 Years!). On top are my tubs of Nickel Squares.

Those are awesome folding jobs you both have done can't wait to get to mine one day!!! Happy Quilting! Bama Deb ~ Sweet Home AL I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you. Forget the fabric, I want Jami's Hoosier! LOL
You all have done such nice jobs with your stashes. Afraid it won't work for me. I have to keep all my fabric hidden away or the kitties think it is an open invitation for them to sleep on it. Think I'm kidding? They can be outside halfway down the block visiting Tiggy, the neighbor's cat, and as soon as I lay some blocks out on the bed to arrange them, the kitties are either at the door mewing to be let in, or if they are really impatient, they jump up on the window sill and scratch. Come in the door, check the food dish, sniff the dog, jump on the bed, lay on my fabric. The other day, I was cutting out 4" squares to become half-square-triangles. Cat jumps on the cutting board, sniffs to see what I am doing, then proceeds to sits on the exact four inches of the board where my blocks are, and wouldn't move when I was ready to sew! I am convinced they possess some sort of feline radar! So you can see why sorting by color and keeping in a dresser works better for me. I do have some large clear plastic totes that are labled for Christmas, 30's, Asian-inspired fabrics, etc. And I have smaller totes that when I start a project, I can put everything in there and keep it together until I am done. But I'm not telling how long some of them have been in those small totes! Oh jeeze, I had it folded somewhat, but Debo inspired me to fold it the "same" so it just looks neater!
My "Hoosier" is actually a "Sellers". Made in the same area of Ohio, but I think originally not as good of a quality as a Hoosier. It was a mess when i got it. About 40 coats of paint and the roll up door doesn't work quite like it is supposed to. But...now that I have the fabric sorted and stacked by color, I NEED reds, oranges, and yellows. I knew I needed oranges, but not the others! Jami |

Oh my goodness! What a great idea! Now I am just going to have to clean all those photo albums out of my grandma's old ice box and do the same thing!
