Wow! Great tip!
I'm amazed that Fons and Porter printed that tip since they sell the pins with the marks on them <g>
If I can ever get caught up to actually make a top rather than just make blocks, I'll be sure to try that one!

I actually tape 4.5 hrs of quilting shows every Saturday morning on PBS. Fons and Porter are in the line up. I enjoy them all! ..

Gerda..
I just RECLAIMED my guest room for my sewing room a few months ago. I only have company about twice a year, and I was DONE sewing on my kitchen table. We were going to invest in a wall bed, but we came up with an even better solution and saved a great deal of money in the process. If someone doesn't want to spend the night staring at my sewing projects...then I can direct them to a motel. hehe... But…we fixed the room up so everything can be closed down and not so “craft room-ish”. LOVE IT!

I can share the idea if you're interested. I have photos, but my computer is in for a repair and I won’t have access to my photo files until next week. I had an epiphany while watching some show where the woman did all her sewing/quilting out of the SLEEPER IN HER SEMI! She was a trucker, and I realized if she could create ALL THAT in a space the size of ½ a closet…then I could be living large in a 12’x12’ little bedroom.

My hub was supportive and we got the transformation pulled off in less then 4 days.

Auntie Pam...the plastic tabs that you are referring to are Fons&Porter aren't they? Seems like I saw them on their website. I had thought about ordering a set but haven't as of yet.

The tags are marked "Quilt Dance", which might be the brand name. I found them in a quilt shop in Fort Dodge, and on-line at whatever shop is in the link.

I haven't seen anything like them on Fons & Porter, but maybe they've talked about them, or something similar.

They're really handy. I tried working with little pieces of paper for awhile, but I like the plastic tags better. They don't crumple up!

F&P has some shaped like hearts under "notions" and then click on "organization". Here's a link (below) to what theirs look like. I thought they had the frosted/clear ones but I was mistaken. Not sure where I saw those but that's what I was looking at to buy. https://www.shopfonsandporter.com/products.asp?dept=90

Those are cute! They're priced a bit higher than the Quilt Dance tags, for the same amount of tags -- 56.

I wonder why they didn't just print the row/block numbers on the tags.

I liked the ones that were frosted better. I'll pick some up at the next quilt show that I go to. Probally will be the Nashville AQS show in August.

Me too. And there's a little circle punched in them so they could be strung together. At least I think that's what the hole is for.

I think the hole is for both stringing together and for pinning inside the hole to attach the label to the block. One of those rings that you find in the hand embroidery stores would work great holding them together and in order.
