Quite lovely! I have not done this particular setting, but I have made about 100 fan blocks. Easy peasy! My fan blocks are hand-pieced for the simple reason that I felt it would give me more control and more accurate piecing. I guess I should also tell you that the majority of them were pieced in the passenger seat while DH was tooling down the highway. My two tips for success with this block. Clip the seam in the arc almost to the stitching line. Press the seams in the same direction as the arc. Both of these will help your block to lie flat.

Oh Meg your tip makes perfect sense, how am I ever going to remember that when I get around to doing this fan quilt? but it is in my to do file...ahhhhh yes THAT to do file...oh lets not go there.

That is beautiful. I am going to make a quilt for my bedroom and I am not sure what pattern to use. I might use that one. Still not sure could use some ideas. It is for a full size bed. I am open to colors too.
