Just making sure I understand this, we can join anytime. The goal is to make four blocks a month, but tat is up to us, just let people know you're OK. The guidlines said something about starting at the beginning of the book, is it OK for me to start at the beginning, or does it matter? I'm in on this I have had the book for over 10 years and yet to do a block. marieg

Still haven't started mine - I do have the book and some fabrics in a container - those scrapbooking boxes from Michael's are great for that! 12 1/2" blocks fit perfectly, too.

Maybe once the house is done. Yes, Marie, just jump in whenever and whereever - I'm not sure I'll start at the beginning - still trying to decide if I want to machine piece or hand piece, probably by machine.

Main thing is to have fun.

Yes this is an open challenge so that you can join in any time and we did set a VERY GENERAL gudieline for making blocks to help with motivation but you are welcome to do your blocks in any order that you please. We love pics so be sure to post them as you can.

Im still really new to this site, but I have read through this whole topic. IM IN LOVE, but are we allowed to design out own quilt?? Instead of using a pattern thats already published. I love the doodling that goes with making a quilt. And does it have to be on a white background or can we be a bit differnt??

I hope you do come onboard and decide to do some small blocks and yes you can make an album to post them to. I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. Your fabrics are you choice as well.

Here is how to make and album:
Go to the page where all the subject categories are and look under "SPECIAL PROJECTS" click on "ALBUMS" once there there is a blue header on that page and click on "NEW" once you click new then a little blue box opens from ther chiick on "PHOTO ALBUM"

NOW THIS BOX IS WHERE YOU GIVE YOUR PHOTO ALBUM A NAME oops sorry about the caps! The larger box you can enter a bit of info on your photos, etc. Just continue following the steps until you have completed the photo enteries. there are little buttons in the right hand bottom corner just follow them through each step.

PS Don't forget that all your photos will have to be 50KB or less for the album to accept them.

Can't wait to see what you fill you album with so we can drool over yours.

I went into profile and edit the profile scroll down and I added my albums on my sinature line. You may hae to reboot your computer once you make profile changes for them to show up on your side. I haven't checked out the albums so I don't know if any of them are still posted, I have read where many have been accidently deleted. Have fun and post pics of your JS Blocks I sure am wanting to get back to working on mine, but the whole year has been a rough one for me health wise and helping with hubby too so I haven't had much luck getting to work on my blocks so far.
