Just a quick reminder that you should not link directly to PDF files on someone else's site. For example, if you want to share a free pattern link, make sure that the URL ends in .html, .htm, .shtml, .php, .asp, etc.
If it ends with .pdf, back up to a regular webpage that includes the link to the pdf file. Many pattern designers have freebies to attract visitors to their sites and they want visitors to see their website and their patterns for sale, not just the freebies. I've changed a couple of links this evening at the request of a pattern designer. I know that no one is trying to do anything underhanded, but the designer has a valid point. Please help me out by linking webpages instead of a pdf files from now on. Thanks! Kim ----- Kim Noblin |

Very good point! I had not realized this, and like many have been guilty of posting pdf links. Thanks again for this info I am sure many (like me) were never even aware of the effect of posting .pdf links.
