I tried coming in, too...and was glad it wasn't unavailable for too long! I've only been here a very short time, but yes, a big THANK YOU to Kim & the moderators for making this virtual quilting bee available to sew many of us!

Meg, I think they are still working on the Forum as I've tried several times today of post in the Albums. Once a long time ago we had to clean out photos that were large and that is why we go to the Albums. I only removed that that I put in the Album and a couple I'm trying to put in there! It's been a couple of days now and hopefully things will get back to normal so I can finish posting the photo's I have waiting. Betty

Debo, on Kitty Swap that is a Yahoo Group Template does it for us. Isn't it a wonderful thing! lol I don't know about here, Kim would have to answer that one. I use a simple Paint program now that I have Vista and haven't figure out how to do their photo program. I also so my Kodak EasyShare where I can choice the size I want a photo reduced. I never mind reducing any so send those big bab ies to me and I'll reduce them just enough to get them posted. Sometimes I have to try 5 or 6 times but I try to keep it as close to 50 without going over as possible. Once it was 50.2 and I thought well that will do! NOT! It's really a simple process in paint. Do I need to post the directions somewhere? Betty

y'all, just a thought to try here - once you get your pic downloaded on your puter, if you RIGHT click on the pic file, you should get a drop-down menu. one of the options should be "open with" which opens another drop-down menu (or perhaps to the side LOL). in this second menu, look and see if you have Microsoft Office Picture Manager - if so, click on that and your pic should open in that program. that is what i use to edit & re-size my pics and it works like a dream!!! in that progam, after i have cropped, i go to "re-size" and choose "Web-Small". my pics are ALWAYS the right size for posting and i haven't had one turn out so small you can't see detail. i just hope this helps someone . . . you know, meg, you could practice on a pic of yourself, you know just post on here to see if the program is on your puter and so you can get used to using it . . .
