Hi Everyone!

I wanted to let you know that it is okay to post photos on the forum again, BUT we ask that you use a free image hosting service like PhotoBucket.com
to post your photos. This will keep our storage space requirements down. Smile

Why am I so dang confused by this. I thought it was supposed to be a link to photo. In my mind even if in photobucket, once we upload to this forum it is stored here???? marie

Marie G -

You can open a PhotoBucket account for free and load your pictures on that website. The way I understand it, when you post a picture on BlockCentral, the picture shows up large and beautiful, but does not take up any space on the BC website except for the link address, which is just words. This uses up a lot less space than pasting a picture directly to BC.

I hope this helps clear it up for you?

Big Grin LindaO-if you select the "Thumbnails for message boards"option, you can copy the code & paste it into the message and it shows up as a thumbnail in your post. The reader can then click on the thumbnail to view it full size.Dirt Ball(Felicia) taught me that, and she is posting here in lots of places..

Thanks Linda, I have a phtotbucket account. That is how I have posted all my pics, but I've yet to uderstand whether it is a link we post or photo? The last picture I posted, I did the link and was told that is what we are supoosed to do. Then I see pics, so I'm confused, but that's me, confused.

I have used photobucket for over a year at least and it can be copied and posted into the type box here and when it posts to the site here you will see the beautiful image of the picture here but all it does is like casting a showdow of the picture over here stays stored in photo bucket and shows up here as an image without using up valuable space from BC~sounds kind of ghostly eh?

At the bottom of the pictures posted in photo bucket click on the 3rd line of coded words and it can be copied and then pasted to here from that last line. I hope this helps make sense to anyone wanting to use photo bucket.

Happy Quilting!

I have always been interested in people who make me laugh!!! You can never have a dull moment with these people. And if you happen to have "one of those moments" then it's okay, they just laugh with you.
