So can you tell me where the main March Retreat thread that was under Off Topic is now?

Connie & Jess-
I've looked all over...I can't find it! I'm pretty sure it was still there at noon, but I know that they are cleaning out, but I thought it was just stuff that was older than 2007.

I was thinking this afternoon that navigating around the forum is going to be like going on a savenger hunt for a time, at least until we find everything. LOL Sounds like fun!

Do have one question? The master list for birthdays and anniversaries seems to be missing. Was it deleted? Betty did so much work on that, I hope she won't have to start from scratch again.

Well it(Birthday & Ann Dates) was deleted by accident, I did it; I've asked Kim to see about a calendar like other sites have; she is checking into it.

Did anyone keep a copy of that list? I thought I had one but I don't!

Betty

Sorry to bother you Betty, but was my round robin thread deleted? Or just moved? I can't seem to find it.

I also wanted to say that I'm really sad the good morning thread had to go. I enjoy reading what's going on in my friends life, other than quilt related stuff.

Thanks, Dorian

I admit I miss it, too Dorian.

When I joined the BC Forum in January, one of the main reasons was because of the "Good Morning" thread. I looked at this long written oral history of the quilters of Block Central and I thought to myself, "I want to be one of those quilters ... who stop and say good morning to each other and who are friends and support each other in every way."

I had actually gone back to the first posts of the "Good Morning" thread recently to start reading from beginning to end so I would learn more about the BC Quilters.

It was like an online quilting bee. I have never been much of a joiner. I do not belong to a guild. But I joined here looking for friends as well as information.

I have visited the Friday night Trivia Game, too, and have had a great time, but usually I am not much for chat rooms. I find it hard to keep up with the flow sometimes. I have bad eyesight and I type slow and I just do not think I have the time to chat more than once a week.

I really would like to see some kind of thread where we could keep up with each other on what is happening in our lives. Maybe in the Off-Topic area a space could be set aside for such a thread?

I do not mean to sound critical of anyone at BC. I really appreciate all of the work that the Mods and that Kim has done to create and maintain this wonderful forum for quilters. If this kind of thread cannot be included in the future, I understand, but I think I will spend less time on BC in the long-run wihtout that anchor.

Thank you, again, to Kim and to everyone at BC.

Pat

Ladies, I have looked for the Round Robin and the Retreat thread...I didn't delete them...

I don't know how they disappeared because I purposely left those alone. I know that Admin is tricky and some could have been deleted if you are not familar with how it works. Example: you can block delete by putting in say "delete 12-31-2006 and before! Well some went in error; I don't know if I did it but when I went through Swaps I watched carefully.

So if it's gone please recreate...I'm so sorry!
Cindy, send an email to all your International to please advise on whether they have recieved or not.

I miss the good morning thread too but am willing to be patient till all the work is done and we get our site back to normal. (kind of like the road construction on the highway, it is a hassle right now but will be so nice when it's done) Kim, I really love this site, it is my home and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your work and all the ladies that help you. And the family I have found here is priceless! Thanks for all you do for us!
