I finally got an answer. It didn't help me, but it might help others. Let me know if it works (or doesn't work for you). Here it is:
1. Click on "Go" in the blue strip at the top of the first message on this page and choose "Personal Zone" from the drop down menu. 2. Click on "Cookies" from within your personal zone. 3. Choose "delete my cookies for this domain" and click okay. 4. You will then be logged out of the forum. You will need to log in again. Hopefully this will solve your PM indicator problem. Like I said above, it didn't work for me. I'm using Internet Explorer 7. I let tech support know that it didn't work for me and hopefully I'll have another solution for us to try in a short while. Nope did not work for me either! It appeared as if it was until I logged back in. The the blinking began again. well we tried. I finally found my problem one was an unread message that was sent when I was in TX.  Now there is no more blinking message things winking at me!!! YIPEEEEEEEE This message has been edited. Today, every time I open a topic on BlockCentral I get an Anti-Virus - SBC Yahoo! Online Protection Infection Alert saying there is a JS/Feeb.CJ Infection. Is anyone else getting this message?

Well, I restored my laptop back to Monday and that seemed to get rid of the problem. Something I downloaded between Monday and yesterday afternoon must have had a delayed action. I downloaded several quilting patterns people had posted here, so I hope it was not one of them.
