A Dandy |
I am getting ready to hand quilt my quilt and need some ideas. In the past I have outlined my designed and stitched in the ditch. I want to add more quilting. Please look at my quilt at http://www.appliquequiltdesigns.com/Baby-Bugs-Galore.html and give me some suggestions.
Thanks Janie |

Oh that is so cute! Is is applique? I guess I could have read that when I was looking. What about doing some cross hatch and squares or diamonds for the background on the bugs. You could even do a honeycomb around the bees. This should make your bugs pop! Or you can do echo quilting around each one. I am on dial up today or I would post some links for you. Maybe Gerda will come along and help you out.

Cute quilt, Janie. Jenell had some good ideas, or you could quilt some smaller bugs in the background around each appliqued bug.

Very cute quilt!
A butterfly shape here or there, like Linda suggested, on the plain fabric with the stiple around it to make it stand out, too, like Jenell suggested for around the appliqued shapes ... might be really nice ... to BC, Janie! |

Very cute! Maybe some additional bugs quilted into the blank squares. Or some little flies or butterflies leaving little swirly "trails" all over the quilt?
