I'm not sure about the circle size but this weekend I was in a qulting shop I saw this beautiful quilt made from circles. It looked like you would cut 2 circle sew them right sides together leaving an opening to turn it inside out. Fold the edges in to make a sq. and the sew together. Well there is obviously some mathmatics to it (not my strong point) I thought I would be able to go home and duplicate it, but now I am thinking instructions would be real handy!!! Has anyone seen this quilt?
Thanks for any imput.

Miki, I have seen Brandy Stell demonstrate this on America Quilts with Sue Hausmann, and I think Simply Quilts, though I could be wrong on that one! This is what she developed http://www.brandysquiltpatterns.com/seenontv.html
What you do, is, cut two circles, sew all around, the whole way, then cut a slit near one edge to turn inside out (right sides out). You will not need to sew that closed, since that edge will be turned over and stitched down. You fold over the edges to make a square and press them. You make a bunch of these circles, sewing along the lines created by the folding. Once the circles are all joined, is when you stitch down the curved edges. The back side will be flat.

she has also been featured on www.quiltersnewsnetwork.com a number of times. Look under TALENT for her name, and click on it. It will show you when she is on again.

Gerda, Thank you for the inf. and the website. That is exactly what I was looking for! The one on the website is even prettier than what I saw at the store. I was worried about getting the correct circle size but it looks like I could use any size I like. Oh boy another quilt in my growing list of to dos. MIKI

Well now I know what to do with all that denim that Grandma left me! And the pattern looks similar to the cathedral windows. That's one that Grandma always wanted to do!!
Miki, QNN is on the web! How can you not get it? Are you on dial-up? Oh, no, is that what might happen when we go back to dial up in a few months? Can't get that? Oh, noo, say it isn't so!
