When I took my first quilt class my instr had the nicest block carrier. It was like a lg. padded art portfolio with handles. She said a friend had made it for her, and the pattern was in a rather unassuming place in (almost) the back of a Baltimore Album book. It was fairly big...like 30” x 24”, had fabric handles and a fabric closure tie. After much searching I give up! She said the pattern was just tucked near the back of one of the Baltimore books, and maybe the other quilt patterns overshadowed it. Anyhow... I would LOVE to know what book that was so I could attempts to find it and make one.
Any HELP would be appreciated!
Thanks so much!

Ty ty for providing that pattern so quickly. It's very close to what I was looking for, and I think it could be modified easily! I've printed off the directions, and filed them.
I guess it's just become this OCD QUEST to find that actual pattern. I'm starting to doubt it really exists. I think she's confusing the pattern maker or the book...lol
Off to the day, and THANK YOU so much for taking the time to post back.

Thank you AGAIN! I think my best buddy-ette (and local quilting cohort) has that book in her library. She has a vast selection of books, and I already emailed her. She works nights so I don't dare call her too early...she might hurt me..lol
I'll let you know! I tell ya...if it's the right pattern this thing holds a pile of various sized blocks.

I think I'll be making me one of these! I always need to bring my previous month's block to the LQS' Saturday Sampler and BOM, and carrying it folded in my purse just isn't cutting it anymore!
Thank you, Felicia, for bringing this to our attention.

Gerda.. Thank you for posting those instructions! We're getting closer, but it's not quite the pattern I'm hunting for. We were always in awe when our quilt instr would haul in this rather large carrier. It does have foam core sides, and was pretty big. She would have several sets of blocks in it for various demos, and projects she was working on.
I believe our local quilting club (which is huge) has a large library so if I can't get my hands on that book soon...I'm going to go to them...and ask. I've talked to the gal who used to make them but she can't even find the book!
Ok.. off to getting ready to get ready for dinner company this afternoon! Yes... I meant to say it that way...lol
Thanks again to ALL for helping me look for this pattern. Any block carrier is better then no block carrier. I hate it when my blocks get all beat up in transit.. I love them..and want them flat and crisp....LOL I think I need to get a life...lol
poof*
