That pattern was designed by the same gal who did the cruise one I got. Here is the info: It is called Stitch in Time #203, 20" x 24". www.englanddesign.com England Design 1201 Sunset Dr. Dickinson, TX 77539 281-534-1858 She also has a real cute WH called Quilter's Kitty, 18"x24", with a cat and a red/white quilt. Kerstin!!! I bought that pattern a few weeks ago at a quilting and craft show in Edmonton!!! My guild buddies loved it, too! I got mine from a local (Edmonton) quilt shop who had a booth at the show.
Linda, glad you could help Kerstin out! GErda A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels. Keep looking UP! When it seems there is no way out, there is always a way up! |

It is paper pieced, isn't it Cookie? Paper piecing makes smaller pieces easier. LOL! It can be overwhelming when you first see it though.

Hi Linda,
yes and no. As far as I understood the pattern is printed on freezer paper and you cut it apart and ironing it on to the fabric. Than you cut it out with a 1/4" inch seem allowens and than you sew it together. Not the normal paper piecing. But I think this way is better on the fabric waste you usally have ( atleast I do) with paper piecing. lol. Happy Quilting Kerstin :-) http://snipurl.com/20obh ( I don't know if this will work. I just saw that techique on one of the quilting shows here in the US in the last week or so. I am trying to remember which one. Actually it was on a website and called "freezer paper piecing"...here is a link:
http://dquilts.blogspot.com/2007/04/how-i-freezer-paper-piece.html Looks interesting...kind of a combination of piecing and paper piecing. ruth |
